An Ghaeilge
Irish

Is í an Ghaeilge teanga Ghaelscoil Bhrian Bóroimhe, agus beifear ag súil go n-úsáidfidh na páistí an Ghaeilge, ní hamháin ar scoil ach ag teacht agus ag imeacht. Tá muid thar a bheith bródúil as an teanga a bheith le cloisteáil ar fud na scoile. Is mór an chabhair a thugann tuismitheoirí na scoile dúinn leis an Ghaeilge a threisiú i measc páistí na scoile. Táthar ag súil go ndéanfaidh tuismitheoirí páistí a spreagadh sa gcaoi seo agus go mbainfidh siad féin úsáid as cibé Gaeilge atá acu leis na leanaí, le muintir na Gaelscoile agus le Gaeilgeoir ar bith eile.

Cúis imní é do thuismitheoirí áirithe laghad a gcuid Gaeilge féin, ach níl bunús leis an imní, i ndáiríre. Iarrtar oraibh na páistí a spreagadh, a mholadh agus a mhisniú chun an teanga a úsáid taobh amuigh den scoil sa gcaoi nach bhfeicfear dóibh gur teanga scoile amháin atá inti.

An Ghaeilge is the language of the school, and it is expected that it will be used by pupils not only in school, but also while travelling to and from school. We are extremely proud of the language being heard throughout the school. We appreciate all the help given to us by the parents of the school in promoting the Irish language with their children. Please encourage your child in this respect and use as much Irish as you can when speaking to your child, when visiting Gaelscoil Bhrian Bóroimhe or when speaking to any other Gaeilgeoir.

Some parents are worried about their own lack of Irish and may feel that this will hold their child back. All we ask is that you encourage your child to use as much Irish as possible outside school. This is important, as we do not want the language to be associated merely with school. It is a living language and a language for living.
